TRYING to quit my job…

Trying to quit this place isn’t all that easy.  First they wanted me to come in only 3 days a week.  Then 2.  And now, they want me to work from home!  Why won’t they just take my NO for NO and leave me alone??? 

However…  it IS flattering that they want me to stay so badly.  I must have made a positive impression in the short time that I’ve been there.  Or maybe they know they’ll have to pay somebody else much more than they’re paying me…?  Who knows the reason.  I just have to figure out if I can continue to work for them or not.  I don’t want to, however, I liked having the money.  Besides, they need somebody in there who can work more hours that I want to work.  That’s not fair to them either.

Quitting my job!

I turned my notice in at my new job!  I’ve only been there since January 7th!  Boy, that didn’t last very long, did it?  However, they were expecting me to do more and more and stay later than I signed up for.  It was supposed to be 15 hours a week.  Plus, the owner wanted me to do both the corporate taxes AND his personal taxes.  I’m NOT a CPA.  How am I supposed to know how to do taxes?  AND….  the biggest thing that pissed me off is that the other two ya-hoos working in the office kept logging on to my e-mail and sending e-mails out in my name.  Since they assigned me my password rather than letting me choose my own, there’s not much I could do to prevent them for doing it.  I just think that’s WRONG (both assigning me a password and then USING it)!

I’m going to keep looking for another job.  There has to be a better fit out there for me somewhere, I just have to find it.  This also means I get to sew more on my quilts and play more with my handmade cards.  I’ve also enjoyed playing with my new ATCs, too, so maybe this isn’t such a bad thing.  I just have to be careful and keep myself occupied so I’m not bored stiff during the days.

ABC ATCs

I found a swap to participate in on Craftster.org.  It’s an ABC ATC swap, and I want to do it even though I’ve never made an ATC before!  This swap is only for ABC with later swaps being for other letters, however, I’m so excited about this that I’ve already made DEF, too, and I have ideas for most of the other letters.  I did “alligator”, “bee”, “city”, “drummer”, “Eiffel Tower” and “frog”, and they’re CUTE!  I had to make myself a set, too, so these cards will be 1 of 2 and 2 of 2.   Here they are:  ATCs.  The bee is on an eyelet and swings out to show a bee hive. 

I think my favorite is “frog”  He just looks really cool.  “Drummer” needs some work still.  I like him, but he’s too plain.
