Tutorial!
My bookmark tutorial (on my other blog) has been getting quite a few hits. Some of the hits are coming from Craftster.org, but I just found out, the tutorial made it to the Bookmark Collector’s website. Here’s a cut and paste:
Make Your Own Bookmark
A tutorial on making a flat paper bookmark – really a base for creating more artistic bookmarks, by Sew Help Me – Link
I need to make some nicer bookmarks to post–and finish them this time with the fibers/tassels at the top!

Target shopping
Yesterday I went to Target. I managed to escape only $25 poorer (usually it’s $50). I found the cutest K&Company clear stamps and I bought two new spiral-bound blank journals for $5 each.
I didn’t need the journals because I’ve already got three “in waiting,” but spiral-bound is my MOST FAVORITE type of journal, and to find a blank on is very unusual. Usually journals have lines–ugh! I’m somewhat of a journal snob. I don’t need lines; I think they’re elementary, and not for “serious” journalers (told you: total snob!).

Recycled Dove Card
Yesterday, I played in the shop some more, and made the really cute card below. I recycled cardboard from my new Mary Engelbreit calendar as well as a piece of cardboard from a fat quarter I got at Joann’s. The stamp is K&Company, and the embossing powder is from Stampin’ Up!. The cardstock is “recycled jute” by Paper Accents.
I submitted this card for publication consideration in Cards magazine. The June 2009 issue has a call for stamping and birds, and this will fit either category.
