My new swap partner!
I’ve only participated in the ABC ATC swaps on Craftster.org, and those are very specific items (ATCs) and are the sender’s choice. The De-stash swap I’m in this time is based on a point system, and I’ve never done points before. It’s a 1-point swap. That means it must meet one of 3 criteria: it must be small (earrings, for example) OR it must take less than 1 hour to make OR it has to be $10 or less.
I guess my handmade cards would be considered a medium because #1. they’re not small; #2. I’ll definitely spend more than 1 hour making them; and #3. I don’t know how much money in product I’ll “spend” to make the cards, but I’m sure it’ll be over $10 worth.
Anyway… yesterday feelix assigned swap partners. Mine is interested in receiving a stuffie for her 2-year-old, a reusable grocery bag, polyclay stitch markers, and resin jewlery. OH NO! I can’t make any of those things for her.
I PM’d her last night to tell her that I’m destashing paper and I can make her handmade cards… I was so worried that she’d be disappointed. But, OH YAY, she got back to me and said she writes her grandmother often so she’s “actually quite pleased with handmade cards.”
Also, she likes pink, orange and green and HATES the color red (like totally detests it). I have some pink, orange and green patterned papers, but I’ll make sure there’s absolutely NO red on a card anywhere!
I’ve already made some cards that I know I’ll send to her, but I need to make some more. I’m not sure how many a good number is? 10, I think? Plus some mini cards/tags.
Anyway, I’m having fun playing around with my new K&Company patterned papers. I’m not good at mixing the patterns, but I’m slowly learning that they don’t have to be match-y match-y.
